About me

I was born in Caracas, Venezuela and am a graduate in Economics from the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello, and I have an MBA from IE Business School. I also studied Leadership and Innovation at MIT.

Deputy Vice President of the IE Foundation

I have more than 20 years of professional experience behind me and started out working in the financial sector, although I have developed my expertise within higher education. In 2001 I joined IE Business School and led its expansion into Latin America. In 2007 I became Director of Business Development, and was responsible for creating and consolidating our network of international offices and centers, one of IE’s most exciting strategic projects. In 2012 I was appointed Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer with corporate responsibilities, a   period during which I gained valuable insight and experience about leading people within organizations. I consider this to have been a particularly rewarding stage in my career, having been able to participate in the creation of the Undergraduate Studies division of IE University. I am currently a member of the Board of Directors of IE University.

I have lived in Madrid for 19 years and I am still in love with the city. My interests include art and gastronomy, and I actively seek to enrich myself in diverse and multicultural environments. I enjoy teamwork and I believe that education is the basis of the development and happiness of human beings.
