  • Following the success of the pilot program in Chile, 3,000 new Santander X Training | Boost your business – IE University scholarships are now being launched for the digital transformation of SMEs, micro-entrepreneurs, and freelancers from Chile, Mexico, and Spain.
  • With the aim of enhancing participants’ employability and promoting life-long learning, the Santander Skills Scholarships | Digital Training for Business Management – IE University program is offering 2,000 scholarships to improve skills in business management, team management, and leadership through online training in 13 countries around the world.

IE Foundation, in collaboration with Banco Santander through Santander Universities, has strengthened its digital-training scholarships program in 2021, with a special boost aimed at SMEs and young professionals with more than 5,000 scholarships.

These scholarships are offered with the aim of boosting businesses and entrepreneurs who want to take their professional development a step further. They promote and increase participants’ employability and encourage lifelong learning as a key factor for academic and professional progress. This is something close to IE University’s heart, as it considers high-quality training to be a key driver in successfully confronting the uncertain environment in which we currently find ourselves.

Thanks to Tresmares Scholarships and with the support of Tresmares Capital, 10 managers of high-growth Spanish SMEs have been able to join senior management training programs at IE Executive Education. With the aim of promoting the network of small and medium-sized businesses in Spain, these scholarships cover 70% of the study fees. They seek to give these companies’ managers the tools they need to drive change in their business environments at a time of national and international uncertainty. After the success of the first two editions, the third round will be launched after summer and will extend the positive impact of these scholarships until mid-2022.

“The Tresmares Scholarship program is an opportunity for participants to evolve at IE University, one of the best business schools globally. Being able to select a program according to your profile and interests, and receive the guidance of prestigious professionals is an unusual and unique opportunity to grow as a professional,” said Alfredo Subiza, a recipient of the first edition of the scholarship program.

Meanwhile, the Santander X Training | Boost your business – IE University is a scholarship program aimed at SMEs from Chile and Mexico as well as Spain. After launching a pilot program in February with 200 scholarships for Chilean freelancers and entrepreneurs with Santander Work Café, the program has reached new heights and expanded its impact and geographical scope. It now offers 3,000 additional scholarships to support the growth and digital transformation of SMEs, micro-entrepreneurs, and freelancers. Beneficiaries will be able to take Online Learning Journey digital programs in internationalization strategies, business growth and the keys to success, trend modeling and analysis, e-commerce and digital marketing to improve business performance, data analytics, and digital media. Alternatively, they may study financial management to better analyze their companies’ accounts and economic positioning.

“I’m very grateful for this scholarship. This is the key to opening more doors for our business,” said Paulina Reyes, a first-edition scholar of the  Santander X Training | Boost Your Business and the Work Café Academy, Chile.

In addition to these two programs, IE Foundation and Santander have launched another 2,000 Santander Skills Scholarships | Digital Training for Business Management – IE University to improve business management, team management, and leadership skills through online training. This initiative is aimed at people over 18 who are from or resident in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Germany, Mexico, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Spain, the US, the UK, or Uruguay. It seeks to streamline, support, and promote participants’ management and leadership skills and abilities through content generated and delivered by IE University professors. Ready to begin in September 2021, these programs also feature an OLJ format, which means they include teaching resources such as interactive tutorials, videos, expert interviews, podcasts, and tests.
