Lighting the way forward with The Illuminated Bricks Recognition Campaign
The mark of a truly positive influence is someone who has helped pave the way for others.
With IE Tower’s inauguration, IE Foundation and IE Global Alumni Relations launched the initiative Illuminated Bricks Recognition Campaign to light the way forward for the brightest minds of tomorrow in need of financial resources.
A year has passed since the launch of the campaign, and the terrace on the 24th floor of IE Tower now bears the names of 47 donors who have generously contributed to the fund.
As part of the initiative, a series of dinners were globally held in order to build connections and spread the message about the campaign. Organized in conjunction with IE University regional offices, the dinners brought together key representatives from IE University with industry-leading alumni. To date, three of these events have been held: one in January 2022 in Dubai and two in September 2022, in Riyadh and Zurich.
These events were highlighted by the participation of key IE University representatives—Gonzalo Garland, Executive Vice-President of the IE Foundation; Julia Sánchez, Head of Global Alumni Relations and Advancement at IE University; and Geoffroy Gérard, General Director of the IE Foundation—as well as regional office representatives Maryam Al-Saleem, IE University’s Country Director for Saudi Arabia, and Maneli Shojaei, Director of IE Dubai Center.

Every contribution goes towards the IE General Scholarship Fund in an effort to help outstanding students overcome financial barriers and reach their full potential.
