Support for Ukraine
The IE Community has shown over this past semester great solidarity.
The war in Ukraine has evidence that we live in a complex world in uncertain times, and the IE Community, once more, has demonstrated its commitment to contributing to a better world.
Throughout this year, several activities have been carried out to support students from Ukraine in Spain. Some initiatives were the partnership with the Ukrainian Global University to provide scholarships to extraordinary talent, the #IEforUkraine campaign in collaboration with the Spanish Red Cross and the most important one was the launch of the IE for Ukraine Scholarship Fund.
IE FOR UKRAINE SCHOLARSHIP FUND
A special scholarship fund was created in April 2022 for candidates and students with the best talent affected by the war in Ukraine. Covered up to full tuition and in some cases room and board.

In March 2022, IE Foundation and Spanish Red Cross joined forces to helped people displaced by the war in Ukraine with a campaign to collect money to donate basic and general materials.

PARTNERSHIP WITH UKRAINIAN GLOBAL UNIVERSITY
The partnership provides €1 million in scholarships for students with the best talent of Ukraine and support them in accessing quality education to rebuild Ukraine after the war.

SUPPORT FOR IE STUDENTS
IE University put together an Emergency Committee in order to support the community members who have been affected by the war in Ukraine. IE University wants to offer support from various angles: academic, financial and psychological.
IE UKRAINE CLUB
The IE Ukraine Club has the mission to showcase a new, deeper perspective of Ukrain while unraveling its potential.
The club has clearly defined goals to pursue its mission. One of the club’s goals is to promote community building and representation among students from the Ukrainian community and IE Community.
The situation in Ukraine is one of the biggest crises happening in the 21st century, and this is why students from IE University want to boost the learning process and critical thinking regarding this topic as well as raise awareness to promote peace and security as fundamental human rights.
IE Foundation with some Fellows participated in a special networking event last November. The cocktail provided the opportunity to meet in person, shared experiences, and connect with the club members.
