Travel4Impact Expands Globally in its Fourth Edition
This year, the IE Center for Social Innovation and Sustainability – attached to IE Foundation – renewed its partnership with Amadeus for a 4th Edition of the Travel4Impact initiative, a program that aims to help small and medium-sized businesses in the travel and tourism industry, now open to applications worldwide.
After three successful editions, Travel4Impact has supported over 60 SMEs across Europe, EMEA and APAC regions. The initiative focuses on helping these businesses develop robust strategies to navigate the evolving landscape of the travel industry, emphasizing their resilience and positive impact on their communities and local economies. This year, around 40 small and medium-sized companies will be selected to join the new launchpad phase set to start in September 2024.
The program provides comprehensive assistance, including training, mentoring, and networking opportunities. All designed to foster collaboration and innovation, empowering participants to meet future challenges and contribute to a more responsible and inclusive travel industry.
During the six-month online launchpad phase, leaders from small companies receive fully funded training and tutoring from IE University professors. The curriculum includes work sessions to develop digital strategies and integrate sustainable practices. After the launchpad, participants join a network that fosters collaboration and mutual support among like-minded professionals.
During this edition, Travel4Impact will introduce a new format called the Co-Lab Sprints, designed to collaboratively produce publications on sustainable travel topics. Additionally, a new consulting initiative will help participants address their main business challenges with the support of Amadeus experts.
“Travel4Impact gathers businesses who believe in the profound impact that travel can have on society and the environment. Each session of the training program serves as a dynamic forum for joint learning and sharing, and the collective evolution of the group accelerates the transformation of a shared passion into impactful business realities.”
