The proportion of women working in science and technology is still very low. To boost the figures, it is essential to arouse interest in these fields among schoolgirls from a very early age and inspire them to see their future in science, engineering, robotics and new technologies. Celia de Anca, Director of the Center for Diversity in Global Management at IE Business School, discusses the continuing challenges in this area with Verónica Pascual, CEO of the robotics firm ASTI. Since its foundation, the company has been working with the STEM Talent Girl program to encourage schoolgirls through the role-models of women already working in science and technology.
