Supporting enrolled students

To ensure that students IE experience is as smooth as possible, we offer the vital resources and information to assist them. Through the course of your stay at IE Law School you will receive advice and information from Student Services Office staff members.

Regardless of their country of origin all international students will have to comply with compulsory immigration procedures.

EU/EEA/Swiss nationals

Students from EU, EEA or Switzerland do not need to request a visa in order to study in Spain. Instead they must register with the Spanish authorities after their arrival. We will provide you with the necessary information about the procedure.

Non-EU/EEA/Swiss national

Students who are not EU/EEA/Swiss nationals must apply for a long term student visa in order to stay in Spain during the length of their program. The Student Services Office will provide them with all the necessary academic documents.

Once you land in Madrid, contact us to help you extend the stay granted on your visa.

We will also help you with obtaining medical insurance, relocation and start learning the Spanish language even before your arrival.

Medical Insurance

All students need medical insurance for the full duration of the program. It can be an international insurance (be careful with the deductibles as they can be very high) or a Spanish one, as long as it includes full coverage (travel insurances are not accepted) and the repatriation service. To make it easier we offer agreements with various insurance companies. EU/EEA/Swiss students can access Spanish public health system by providing a European Health Card.

Even before their arrival to Spain we offer our students useful information and relocation tools, such as our own database of apartments or shared rooms, discount agreements with various real estate agencies and discussion forum.

Informative sessions “Landing in Madrid”

In our campus briefings we welcome students to Madrid and provide them with the necessary information related to their arrival.Students are able to sign up to these sessions via Campus Online.

Online Spanish Classes

The Student Services Office has an agreement with a company pioneer of methods for language education. Students who meet the requirements will have access to a premium account for 6 months to start and improve their Spanish.
