WEEK 1 - WELCOME TO THE PROGRAM

In this week, participants will meet the professor and become familiarized with the main objectives of the program, the program structure, and the assignments they will be working on during the rest of the program. A welcome networking session will be hosted, giving participants the opportunity to forge meaningful connections with their peers.

WEEK 2 - THE CLOUD PROVIDER SELECTION CHALLENGE

In this first week, we will talk about the Cloud Provider Selection Challenge – because selecting the right cloud provider is of paramount importance for a company. Therefore, we will examine together the different types of cloud available, and we will analyze the pros and cons of each option. We will close this lesson with a practical case of a company that is facing the cloud service provider selection dilemma. Through this practical case, you will be able to see in practice how a cloud provider selection challenge looks like in reality.

After completing this week of study, participants will be able to:

  • Understand what cloud solutions are available in terms of service offered
  • Evaluate cloud solutions are available in terms of security
  • Understand which solutions are suitable for which company
  • Analyze a company and a market and decide which cloud solution they will apply based on suitability

During week two of the program, a live session with the program Learning Facilitator will be hosted, an opportunity to connect with an industry expert who will be guiding you through your learning journey. 

WEEK 3 - THE ROBOTIC INNOVATION CHALLENGE: OPEN VS. LICENSED

This week we are going to talk about robotics and how they can be used to create innovation! We will analyze the different types of platform and software that can be used in order to address the robotic innovation challenge. Specifically, we will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of open source and closed platforms in creating innovation using robotics. In addition, we will talk about successful start-ups and how they can leverage robotic innovation. We will close this lesson with a practical case of a company that is aiming to use robotics to generate innovation. Through this practical case, you will be able to see in practice how open and close software platforms pose challenges and what the right choice process looks like in reality.

After this week, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the differences between open and closed platforms
  • Discuss the benefits and drawbacks of open and closed platforms
  • Evaluate business cases and decide which type of platform should be used for each 

During week three of the program, an interactive live session with the program faculty will be hosted, giving participants the opportunity to engage directly with the creator of the program, dive deeper into concepts seen in the learning materials, and discuss practical applications. 

WEEK 4 - THE OPEN INNOVATION CHALLENGE: FRAMEWORKS TO GENERATE INNOVATION

This week we are going to talk about open innovation and how leading companies are using it to generate innovative ideas and get ahead of the competition. We will differentiate between open and closed innovation and we will analyze the framework for creating successful open innovation projects. In addition, we will examine the differences between collaborative and tournament-based innovation, both of which are categories of open innovation. Finally, we will discuss the steps to be taken so that open innovation is used correctly and we will identify pain points and challenges to be addressed.

After this week, participants will be able to:

  • Explain the difference between open and closed innovation
  • Differentiate between collaborative and tournament-based innovation and explain what each entails
  • Analyze use cases for collaborative and tournament-based innovation
  • Evaluate innovation frameworks as they pertain to specific use cases, strategizing benefits for users and for organizations

At the end of week four, participants are given the opportunity to continue networking in a live session, discussing key takeaways from the program and looking forward collectively to how they will implement these takeaways in their individual business contexts.
