OVERVIEW
OVERVIEW
Leadership in the public sphere has always been demanding. Today, it is harder than ever.
Geopolitical uncertainty, institutional complexity, and relentlessly rising public expectations have made governing harder, while AI and automation are rapidly reshaping what leadership itself means. In this new landscape, what sets the most effective leaders apart is not access to better data or sharper processes. It is the ability to persuade a room, build a coalition, cut through institutional noise, and speak with authority when the stakes are highest.
The IE School of Politics, Economics & Global Affairs Public Leadership Executive Program is designed for senior officials and emerging leaders in multilateral organizations and government institutions who are serious about creating positive change. Across four intensive modules, participants develop the human skills that no algorithm can replicate: self-awareness, strategic influence, the ability to build trust across institutional divides, and the power to communicate with clarity and conviction. You leave not just better informed but fundamentally more effective.
Why IE?
IE University has a long-standing experience in teaching leadership to global organizations. This program combines this expertise with a team of academics and senior practitioners who have a solid understanding of the institutional challenges faced by public institutions. This expertise is enriched by the work of IE’s different academic departments, schools, and centers, such as the School of Politics, Economics & Global Affairs, the Center for the Governance of Change, and the Center for Health & Well-being.
