During the talk at IE University, President Noboa emphasized the importance of education in developing new perspectives and fostering critical thinking, a crucial asset in life.

During an IE University event this week, Daniel Noboa, President of Ecuador, spoke to  an audience of more than 600 IE University students and professors, who together represent 160 countries. During the talk he spoke about the currently challenges and opportunities facing Ecuador today. The President began his talk with advice for students: "Take time to have a perspective. Thinking outside the box, externalizing yourself, and having a different vantage point can help you for the rest of your life."

The event took place at the IE Tower in Madrid and coincided with President Noboa’s first official visit to Spain since assuming the presidency of Ecuador in November. During his visit to IE, he also held a sperate meeting with the company presidents and CEOs who serve as members of IE University’s Business Leadership Forum to discuss the business, socioeconomic, and political challenges of the country.

Daniel Noboa, the youngest President in the history of Ecuador, focuses his tenure on boosting the country's economy, security, job creation, and the well-being of Ecuadorians, as well as fostering innovation, education, and sustainability. Recognized by Davos as one of the 40 Young Global Leaders, President Noboa holds a degree in Business Administration from NYU Stern School of Business, a Master's in Public Administration from the Harvard Kenned, y School, and a Master's in Governance and Political Communication from George Washington University.

During the talk at IE University, President Noboa emphasized the importance of education in developing new perspectives and fostering critical thinking, a crucial asset in life. Regarding conflicts, he reminded the audience that war goes beyond weapons and bullets, and to win, it is necessary to create jobs and provide training for the youth. The President highlighted that: 

“There is no greater feeling than hope. And conveying hope to people is powerful and rewarding.”
