In order to help students keep their performance in check, IE gives them the opportunity to request rankings (per term and global rankings).
Period Ranking/per section
States the position the student occupied in his/her section for the term in question. At the end of the term in question once all grades are published
Core (1st & 2nd Period)
Accumulated ranking per intake (all sections included). States the position the student occupied after completing the 2 Core terms. It takes into account all students in the intake. At the end of the 2nd term, after grades of all sections are published
Global Ranking
States the position the student occupied after completing the entire Program. It takes into account all terms and Final exam for students in the intake. All sections included.

Based on a student’s GPA, an overall average grade can be determined based on the following ranges:
Grade – GPA Range
Honors – 4.00 – 3.84
Excellence – 3.83 – 3.51
Proficiency 3.50 – 3.18
Pass – 3.17 – 3.00
Note that a final ranking and a final average grade are distinct performance indicators, meaning a high ranking may not necessarily translate into an average grade of Honors.
