Young Corporate Program

unearth young talent

raw talent & corporate world matched

The Young Corporate Program (YCP) connects IE University’s brightest and boldest young talent with organizations that are blazing new trails in today’s global professional landscape.

As a unique segue into the fast-paced corporate world, this exclusive program offers ambitious bachelor’s students a tailor-made training with a specific company that spans the entire course of their degree.

Through a highly competitive selection process—based on a wide range of criteria developed together with the partner companies, including candidates’ academic achievements and grade point averages—the YCP narrows down the application pool from hundreds to just a few dozen, selecting the very best and pairing them up with a specific company to work with throughout the course of their degree.

Through ongoing mentoring, placements and immersive experiences, the YCP consolidates ties between today’s business frontline and tomorrow’s corporate change-makers, unlocking a shared future of talent, innovation and growth.

Our Partners: 2020-2021 edition

The YCP is proud to partner with a diverse range of collaborating companies, eager to explore new ways to work with emerging, top-tier talent.
""It allows top young talent to get real experience in participating companies, and for us a way to identify and attract the best talent before they even get into the labor market""
"It is a pleasure to help give clarity to the multiple options that participating students have when they finish their degree"

General Program Path

The Young Corporate Program (YCP) path is designed to offer incremental training to high-performing bachelor’s students, carried out alongside their academic studies at IE University. Beginning in the early stages of bachelor’s programs, the YCP starts in the first year for single degrees and in the second year of dual degrees.

1- Preselections

In the initial pre-selection phase, we invite IE University’s most competitive, committed and creative undergrads to come forward, submitting their applications and CVs for consideration by IE Talent & Careers.

2- Company Insight

The program begins with the pre-selected students making online or in-person contact with the company, which will provide them an idea of the corporate culture. Once the final participants have been selected, they can move onto the next stage.

3- Mentoring

Throughout the remaining years of the students’ degree, they will receive coaching and mentorship from company executives. The individual experience may look different depending on the company, and the activities will be set by the individual mentor.

4- Shadowing

The shadowing phase of the program involves observing professionals from different departments to discover what day-to-day life is like in the company. Typically, this will last one week at a location determined by the company.

5- Summer Internship

The particulars of the summer internship will vary depending on the company. Taking place in either national or international offices, each internship is tailored to both the business’s needs and the student’s individual talents. In some cases, the internship can even be extended to last six months in total.

6- Final Thesis

At the final stage, students will have the option of using their specialized company insights to write their final thesis, so long as the proposed project falls within the scope of university-approved topics. If so, students will be supervised by both an IE University professor and an executive from their partner company.
