BASIC COMPETENCES
- Possess and understand knowledge in an area of study stemming from general high-school education, generally demonstrating a level which, though supported by advanced textbooks, also includes certain elements of cutting-edge knowledge in the field of study in question.
- Ability to apply knowledge to work or vocation professionally, to articulate and defend arguments and to solve problems within the area of study in question.
- Ability to gather and interpret relevant data (normally in students’ area of study) allowing students to formulate opinions that reflect on relevant social, scientific or ethical issues.
- Ability to convey information, ideas, problems and solutions to both specialized and non-specialized audiences.
- Develop the learning competences necessary to undertake subsequent studies with a high degree of independence.
THE NEW DUAL DEGREE STRUCTURE
The new Dual Degree structure at IE University enables students to break down the silos and connect two different academic areas, acquiring a skill set unique to their chosen career path. Secondly, at IE University we are aware of the importance of our students being able to stand out in the job market and have, therefore, ensured students studying Dual Degree programs either undergo an internship or study abroad as part of their degree. Finally, our new Dual Degree structure focuses on adapting the curriculum so that students are able to guide their studies towards their personal professional goals.
