Sumit is a PhD candidate in Marketing at IE Business School, IE University. He has nearly 13 years of industry experience. Prior to joining doctoral studies, he headed the Research & Analytics function of Pearson Education and led a boutique market research firm in India. Sumit has experienced research from multiple angles (i.e., academic, practice, and agency) and has managed projects across the Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Latin America. As part of his doctoral research, he is developing an impact-driven program on topics related to sensory marketing (especially, the effect of visual, and haptic sensory cues) and sustainability (i.e., food waste). He has presented his research at several international conferences including the ACR, SCP, and EMAC annual events. Sumit is also a dedicated educator - with experience of teaching and mentoring students at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral level. He wishes to spread the joys of learning with students around the world.
