Building Purposeful Pauses into your daily life can start small, but have a big impact. Give your thinking small breaks throughout the day so your mind can recharge, refresh and reconnect with your world.

Purposeful Pause #1

Take 10 breaths as you step onto the floor beside your bed: open up your arms to physically embrace the big round world.

Purposeful Pause #2

Take 10 breaths as you revel in the color and texture of your meal, which helps you tune out the hustle and bustle of your surroundings.

Purposeful Pause #3

Take 10 breaths for a quick nature break from your window, office or computer. As you breathe, notice the different shades of earth tones, the leaves, the texture of the ground. Imagine feeling soft grass or sand under your bare feet.

Purposeful Pause #4

Take 10 breaths before you launch into dialogue (or monologue) at a team meeting. Build the power of the pause mindset into a team setting.

Purposeful Pause #5

Take 10 breaths as you close your day with a positive emotions booster. Relive the three moments that triggered the most uplifting emotions for you during the day. Imprint the learning, joy, surprise, awe and love, as you close your eyes and feed your energy for the day ahead.
