PROFESSOR SPOTLIGHT
Rafael is a seasoned investment and advisory professional with more than 30 years of experience in Europe, the US, LatAm, and the MENA region. He has held roles at Bain & Company, Merrill Lynch, PwC and Banesto.
Rafael is currently a Founding Partner at REEM Partners an asset management and advisory firm, headquartered in Abu Dhabi providing investment and strategic advice to institutional investors and corporates; until recently, has been a Senior Advisor at LCM Partners a credit opportunities fund, where he has served in different investment and management roles for the last 20 years and with more than €5.5Bn of committed capital. He also serves on the advisory board of ThirdWayPartners and has served in the past in Guggenheim Partners’ International Advisory Board, Fundacion FIDE, and INSEAD’s Alumni Association.
Rafael is also Academic Director of IE Business School’s Executive Programs in Private Equity and a frequent speaker at international conferences. He is an INSEAD MBA alumnus and holds MSc in Finance from Complutense University.
