IE Law School greeted the new academic year with a series of events where masters, undergraduate, and executive programs students received advice and words of encouragement from the school’s leaders and alumni.

Soledad Atienza, Dean of IE Law School, recalled the work of German jurist Caspar Rudolf von Jhering and challenged those present with these words:

“I encourage you to make an effort, to work and to study in order to always uphold legal rights.”

The next talk, from Fernando Vives, executive chairman and partner at Garrigues, was a passionate defense of the legal discipline: “Law arises as the only alternative to violence.”

Diego Peña, Senior Manager of Admissions at IE Law School, emphasized that “IE Law School is an inexhaustible source of opportunities.” He encouraged students to take advantage of these opportunities from day one in order to begin networking and shaping their professional future.

During this series of events, Román Gil, former student of the Doble Máster en Abogacía y Asesoría Jurídica de Empresas, encouraged those present to make the most of the academic experience, with these words: “Relax, get everything you can out of it, and work as a team.”

After the inspiring welcome ceremonies, which took place at the IE Tower, Maria de Molina Campus, and at the Segovia campus, IE Law School students are gearing up for another year of giving their all and making their mark on the world of law.
