The agreement will allow law students from both universities to obtain two degrees in five years: the Bachelor of Laws in Spain and Mexico and a Bachelor of Laws in Mexico and an LLM at IE.
IE Law School at IE University and the Law School of Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) in Mexico City have signed a collaboration agreement to offer a new Dual Degree law program from both institutions. This program will allow law students to obtain two degrees: a Bachelor of Laws in Spain and a Bachelor of Laws in Mexico (a professional degree granted by the Mexican government).
Students in the program will spend the first three years of their law degree studying at IE University in Madrid, Spain. The last two years will be completed at ITAM in Mexico City.
The aim of this agreement is to train lawyers who understand different legal systems in order to facilitate their professional practice in other countries. It also allows students to learn about law from a global and business perspective.
