Take a Break: Finding Balance Between Your Personal and Professional Life
In the interconnected and competitive world we live in, we are constantly pressured to be productive at all times and relentlessly pursue goals. Deadlines, projects, and meetings occur at a frenetic pace, and we find ourselves trapped in a daily routine where the urgent leaves no time for what truly matters.
Although we are aware of the importance of rest, we find it difficult to find moments for reflection, exercise, or simply disconnecting and enjoying life. We have broken down the barriers between our personal and professional lives, and technology has played a key role in this: checking emails after dinner, leaving a family event to solve an urgent problem, attending video conferences during vacations... Glued to our laptops and mobile phones, we are now available all the time.
However, all this effort takes a toll on our physical and mental well-being that we must restore in order to keep moving forward. Nonetheless, it is important to find moments to think about ourselves, take a step back, and see things from a broader perspective, focusing on our well-being. Incorporating self-care routines, dedicating time to activities that inspire us, and sharing moments with our loved ones are simple yet effective ways to achieve this.
With the aim of helping you in your pursuit of well-being, the IE Center for Health & Well-being offers the IE University community skills and tools to find balance between personal and professional life, based on the latest advances in positive psychology and health sciences.
We want to share with you the content developed by the center, which will help you discover the benefits of well-being and motivate you to continue growing both personally and professionally, in order to live a fulfilling life.
From IE University Lifelong Learning, we invite you to take a break, disconnect, and see life from a renewed perspective. We invite you to explore this selection of proposals, which will help you relax, enjoy, and discover new sources of inspiration.
Take a breath. You deserve it.
