Sofía López
Thanks to my experience in project management, strategic consulting, and business development, I have a multi-disciplinary profile. I’m a strong defender of the benefits of associations between big companies and start-ups, and of generational and gender diversity in technology. I’m currently leading a cultural evolution project at SGS and I’m in charge of the app MasSencillo, which aims to adapt mobile technology to an older audience.

After taking the Advanced Management Program, Sofía has remained linked to IE, giving talks on generational diversity and providing guidance to our students. Skills like empathy, creativity, and problem-solving abilities have led her to participate in international projects in countries such as Turkey and Hong Kong.
Why did you decide to further your education at IE?
I wasn’t just looking for a business school, but a space that would allow me to question the most disruptive ideas and that would force me to go one step further.
Do you think that your time at IE has changed your focus in your career?
Yes. It has helped me connect with different ideas and apply them directly to my everyday work. Additionally, it has allowed me to organize and strengthen my value as a professional. I always say the same thing: I felt like a Formula 1 car, but I was missing the right gasoline to be able to compete in the race.
What is your current professional status?
I currently direct two change projects at the company I work for, which allow me to be directly involved in its transformation.
What is the most valuable lesson you learned during the program?
You can always broaden your horizons. Change is a reality, the only thing you need to decide is whether you want to lead it or experience it.
