A Conversation with the artist Alicia Framis and Carlos Urroz from Museo Nacional Reina Sofía

During IE Happiness Week, students and faculty gathered at the IE Tower for a meaningful exchange with artist Alicia Framis and Carlos Urroz, Director of the Institutional Cabinet at Museo Nacional Reina Sofía. The conversation took place beside Framis’ participatory installation Leave Here Your Fears, originally created during the pandemic and exhibited in several international communities.

Through their dialogue, Framis and Urroz highlighted the power of art to help individuals and communities confront emotional challenges, release internal fears, and find spaces for recovery and growth. Drawing on their experience in artistic practice and cultural leadership, they emphasized the essential role of creativity in fostering resilience, well-being, and a shared sense of purpose—especially in uncertain times.
