The IE School of Humanities, in collaboration with the IE Film & Television Industry Club, hosted an engaging masterclass with Juan Mayne, Regional Content Director for SkyShowtime Iberia and former executive at Netflix. This exclusive event offered students an opportunity to learn directly from a leader in the global streaming industry.

With over two decades of experience in entertainment, Mayne shared his deep knowledge of content development and strategy, focusing on the evolution of streaming platforms in a rapidly shifting media landscape. Drawing from his involvement with major productions such as La casa de papel (Money Heist) and A través de mi ventana (Through My Window), he highlighted how content directors balance creative vision with market demands.

Mayne also provided forward-looking insights into the future of storytelling, exploring the potential influence of emerging technologies like AI and virtual reality on narrative structures and audience engagement.
