As part of the IE School of Humanities' Visiting Scholars Program, Dr. Andrea Prencipe , Former Rector and Professor of Organization and Innovation at LUISS University in Rome, joined IE University for a series of academic engagements.
During his visit, he delivered a research seminar titled "From Stage to Social Innovation", a keynote lecture on the importance of the humanities in business education, reflecting on how philosophical and artistic perspectives can deepen leaders’ capacity for ethical reasoning, empathy, and creativity in organizational life. In addition, he joined Professpr Pedro Cifuentes Huertas as a guest speaker in the Critical Thinking course for MBA students, where he discussed how humanistic methods of inquiry can strengthen critical reflection and decision-making in complex business environments.
Through these engagements, Dr. Prencipe offered compelling insights into the enduring relevance of the humanities for innovation, leadership, and the cultivation of more inclusive and imaginative societies—embodying the spirit of dialogue and interdisciplinarity at the heart of the IE School of Humanities.
