The Dinner Party Exhibition 2026

For the third consecutive year, students at the IE School of Humanities have revisited and reinterpreted the legacy of The Dinner Party by Judy Chicago, the landmark installation that foregrounded the historical and cultural contributions of women.

Drawing inspiration from this seminal work, participants in the Women and Leadership course taught by Goretti González and the Bad Art and its Aesthetics course taught by Shana Cooperstein collaborated on a new series of artistic proposals. Their projects focus on influential women who were not included in the original installation, symbolically extending an invitation to join the table.

The 2026 edition further consolidates the initiative as both a creative and academic platform. Beyond celebrating women’s achievements across disciplines, it fosters critical engagement with questions of visibility, representation, and artistic legacy.

The resulting works are presented in a physical and virtual exhibition, offering audiences the opportunity to explore the figures selected by students and the diverse perspectives shaping their interpretations.
