IE and BMC Software Sign Partnership that Paves the Way for Wide-Ranging Initiatives
The deal sees students from the School of Science and Technology start internships immediately.

IE University has signed a wide-ranging partnership with BMC Software that opens the door to students from the School of Science and Technology to secure internships, conduct impact projects and enter the company’s Graduate Academy, designed to identify and develop talent.

Students from the Master in Business Analytics and Big Data and Master in Computer Science and Business Technology, the first to benefit from the new partnership, will be able to do their internships in tech, sales and consulting during their elective period.

“This is a unique partnership opportunity to work together strategically across multiple topics,” said BMC’s Geo VP of International Sales Paul Cant at the signing of the agreement. “We are looking forward to starting the journey together with IE.”

A handful of students have already begun their internships as part of the accord that is expected to evolve to include many more students in internships, opportunities for permanent employment, strategic projects with IE University and other academic initiatives for the School of Science and Technology.

BMC’s six-month Graduate Academy allows interns to get hands-on experience, as well as learn BMC culture and internal processes across dozens of departments. Some interns will be invited to continue into permanent positions within the company’s international network of offices in 38 countries, as well as with its sister companies.

“We are delighted to sign this agreement with BMC Software and offer these career opportunities for our IE community,” said Erik Schlie, IE University's Vice President of Global Alumni and Talent & Careers, at the accord’s signing.
