At IE University, admission into the Master in Computer Science & Digital Innovation follows a highly selective process. We seek both recent graduates and experienced professionals who are ambitious and have the potential to drive digital transformation.

  • Tuition is reviewed on a yearly basis and therefore subject to change.

  • To become an IE University student, all IE Community members should make a one-off contribution to the IE Foundation. This is a single payment of €1,200 to be made during the enrollment process.

ADMISSIONS PROCESS

STEP 1: START YOUR ONLINE APPLICATION FORM

Candidates must complete the sections that appear in the online application form. Additionally, they must provide the required documents and essential information as follows:

  • Bachelor degree from an accredited university*
  • Official university transcripts (certified translation into English or Spanish)
  • 1 page CV/Resume. See example here.
  • Personal statement
  • Contact information of two relevant academic or professional references.
  • English language certificate – we accept the TOEFL (minimum score of 100 but 105 recommended), the IELTS (minimum score of 7 but 7.5 recommended), Duolingo English Test (minimum score 130) or a Cambridge Advanced level. A certificate is not required if you are a native speaker, you completed an undergraduate degree in English, you have worked and lived for more than two years in an English speaking country, or if you have extensive professional experience in English. Nevertheless, should the Admissions Committee find it necessary, they may request one of the certificates mentioned above** .
  • Photocopy of current passport

**The validity of all previously mentioned English language certificates for IE University's admissions process is two years from the date you took the exam.

STEP 2: ADMISSIONS TEST

Candidates are required to take either the ieGAT (IE Global Admission Test), GMAT or GRE tests.

STEP 3: ONLINE ASSESSMENT

Once you have submitted your online application and paid the application fee, you will receive a link to answer three live questions, two in video format and one in written format. This way, our admissions team will be able to meet you virtually and evaluate your capacity to respond in real time and under pressure.

STEP 4: PERSONAL INTERVIEW

You will have a personal interview (face-to-face or via online) with a manager of the Admissions Team.

ADMISSIONS COMMITTEE FINAL DECISION

The Admissions Department will contact you with the final resolution of your Admissions process. Your entire application will be evaluated holistically and will take roughly 1-3 weeks for the Admissions Committee to get back to you with a final decision. Admissions are valid for the intake you apply to and the following one.

    • The selection process for the Master in Computer Science & Digital Innovation is rigorous and holistic. We've got some helpful tips on the process here.

    • The fees for the program can be viewed here. There are special conditions for IE University alumni, and interest-free payment plans are available.

    • 1. Complete the online application

      Fill out the online application form and upload the required documents.

      2. Take the online assessment (Kira)

      After submitting your application and paying the application fee, you will receive access to the Kira Assessment. This consists of three short questions (one written and two video responses) and takes approximately 20–30 minutes to complete.

      3. Submit your entrance exam results

      Applicants must provide results from the GMAT, GRE, or IE Global Admissions Test (ieGAT). Contact your local office for information about upcoming test dates and locations.

    • Yes, once we receive your application, we will review the documentation you have submitted and inform you about the remaining items needed for your application.

    • There is no application deadline, as we operate a rolling admissions process and accept applications throughout the year. However, places are limited and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, so we encourage you to apply as early as possible. On average, the admissions process takes between 4 and 6 weeks, although timelines may vary depending on each individual application.
