At IE the student is at the epicentre of the learning process. Our method promotes active participation in the programme, as well as debate and teamwork, always under the guidance of our faculty comprised of top-level experts. Hence, in addition to acquiring knowledge of the latest management trends and most innovative management tools, students develop their interpersonal skills: communication, e-communication, negotiation, teamwork, leadership, etc. These skills are what differentiate leading professionals in the corporate world.
Students at Instituto de Empresa work in a truly international environment, with participants from 65 countries and a faculty formed by professors who have obtained their doctorates from some of the most prestigious universities in Europe and the US. Moreover, IE enjoys a closely knit network of contacts in the corporate world, which places us in a privileged position to know market needs and demands first hand and provide rapid and effective solutions. This contact network is also of immense value to our student body and our more than 30,000 alumni, who currently hold positions of responsibility in some 85 countries.

Professional Background
Santiago Iñiguez de Onzoño studied at Madrid~s Complutense University and Oxford University, UK. Iñiguez de Onzoño is a Doctor of Law and holds an MBA from Instituto de Empresa.
Iñiguez has worked as a management consultant and has played an active role in the field of quality control in executive education. He has been Director of External Relations at IE during which time he led international initiatives like the creation of the Sumaq Alliance, a platform for executive education comprised of Instituto de Empresa and seven leading business schools from Latin America. Iñiguez is Professor of Strategic Management and, as of August 2004, is Dean of the school.
He currently combines his responsibilities as Dean of Instituto de Empresa with his position of Chairman of EQUAL (European Quality Link), the consortium that integrates European business school accreditation associations, and he is a Member of the International Advisory Board of AMBA (Association of MBAs, UK). He is also President of the Instituto de Empresa Fund in the US.
Iñiguez de Onzoño has published several articles and practical case studies on business management. Furthermore he is author and co-author of several books in the field of moral and political philosophy.
