TWO CERTIFICATES IN ONE PROFICIENCY DIPLOMA

The Proficiency Diploma in Business Foundations & Leadership consists of two separate certificates, each worth 15 ECTS credits. You have the option of completing them individually (each certificate lasts 5 weeks) or group them together to obtain the Proficiency Diploma. It is up to you!

INTENSIVE SUMMER LEARNING

You will have the opportunity to study the Proficiency Diploma in Business Foundations & Leadership—and therefore either or both of its two certificates—between May and July. This means it is perfectly compatible with your bachelor’s program at IE University.

The Proficiency Diploma in Business Foundations & Leadership is not intended to provide you with specialized or advanced training in a particular area of business. Rather, it is designed to offer you a broad understanding of key business concepts and principles. While a diploma in business foundations can be a valuable credential for many careers, it is not intended to provide the same level of expertise as a more specialized business degree. It is also not recommended for Bachelor in Business Administration students.

BUSINESS FOUNDATIONS CERTIFICATE I: UNDERSTANDING THE BUSINESS LANDSCAPE

Accounting for Decision Making (3 ECTS) - How to understand the ‘language of business’ and use numbers for decision making.
Marketing 101 (3 ECTS) - How to implement a marketing strategy to achieve business goals. 
Foundations of Strategy (3 ECTS) - How to approach and understand complex business situations and map your plan for long term sustainable success.
Building & Leading Effective Teams (3 ECTS) - How to build and lead successful teams in diverse, changing, and challenging environments. 
Capstone Project (3 ECTS).
