What is the CIVICA Global Forum?
The CIVICA Global Forum, held on 6-7 May 2025 at IE University in Madrid, was the flagship event of the CIVICA Alliance and a key milestone within Work Package 10: Global Outreach and Partnerships. As a central deliverable of the CIVICA 2.0 project, the Forum significantly strengthened the Alliance's international visibility and impact, while fostering new strategic relationships beyond academia.

This session highlighted how higher education institutions can strengthen Europe’s talent pipeline, support lifelong learning, and bridge the gap between academia, industry, and policy. Commissioner Micallef provided insights into the European vision for skills development, the importance of culture and sport in fostering social cohesion, and how universities can be key drivers of a resilient and competitive Europe.
