Enrique de Solis

I was born in Seville and at the age of 18 I came to Madrid to study international business. I was clear that I wanted to create something that left a mark on society, something that I felt a passion for and could reflect all my ideas and creativity. Everything that surrounds me has beauty and also generates a value greater than the price a person pays. That is what gives me satisfaction.

How did IE help you get to where you are today?

I highlight 3 vital lessons that IE taught me, in addition to other intangibles: The need to prioritize in life, the extent for which effort and sacrifice can help to achieve your goals and the importance of  surrounding yourself with good people and great teams.

What is the best advice you can give to a young individual starting his/her professional career?

Believe in yourself but try to see your idea in the most objective way possible, differentiating your feelings regarding the viability of the project. Nobody is going to give you anything, so surround yourself with a good team and a good partner (which is key in times of weakness).

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

My mind will never rest, I know that. I hope that One Shot becomes an international chain and The Seëlk a a globally recognized fashion brand. I see myself in a more philanthropic way as an investor and mentor with a happy family.
