Pablo González Ruiz de la Torre | Epic Awards IE University

"Talent means nothing if you don't do anything with it."

Founder of TRIVU. BBA 2016.

“Hello everyone! My name is Pablo González Ruiz de la Torre. I was born in 1994 in Seville, Spain but I have had the chance to live in countries like the UK or Canada throughout my life. In 2016 I graduated from IE University after finishing the Bachelors in Business Administration (BBA). During that time, the international economic crisis negatively affected the perception of my generation. I then decided to create PANGEA with the vision of unleashing the enormous potential of the world’s youth. After four intense years, we changed our brand name to TRIVU, and we became a global ecosystem to foster different opportunities to connect, activate and power young talent. We believe that now more than ever, an ever-young mindset, not age, will determine how we engage in the transformation that our society is living. Thanks to all the energy and determination of my team, in 2017 I was selected by the prestigious American foundation Eisenhower Fellowship as one of the 32 young emerging leaders in the world. In 2018, I was recognized by Forbes Magazine as one of the members of their 30UNDER30 list in Spain. I am passionate about people. My dream is to contribute to a world that is increasingly more interconnected, global and diverse, and help democratize talent while bringing down barriers and advocating for attitude as the main engine for change.”

How did IE help you get to where you are today?

“IE changed my life for real. At this point in time, I am very aware that I would have never made it to the point where I am without all the support I felt and all the experiences I went through during my time at IE. Not only the education I received but also the people I had the chance to meet, had an enormous impact on me. Living four intense years surrounded by a network of diverse cultures, languages and perspectives made me grow both personally and professionally. Now, that almost three years have passed by since my graduation, I could not be prouder to live up to the IE values every single day.”

What is the best advice you can give to a young individual starting his/her professional career?

“Never let anyone convince you that you cannot achieve what you are passionate about. Work hard, give your best every day and never give up.”

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

“I get asked this question a lot and I always answer that I can only aspire to be happy while pursuing my own dreams surrounded by great people.”
