Reinventing the Work of the Future (Part I)

We are facing an unprecedented change in the world of work, with the incorporation of new technologies, and especially with developments in process automation and robotics. Despite the uncertainty and subsequent alarm about the ways in which these changes might impact jobs, the fact is that this disruption has the potential to bring major benefits for both organizations and employees. Manuel Muñiz, Dean of the IE School of Global and Public Affairs, talks to Carl Benedikt Frey, Economist and Economic Historian and Director of the Technology and Employment Program at the Oxford Martin School of the University of Oxford, on the implications of this technological and cultural change and some possible ways of viewing it in terms of an opportunity.
