Academic director of the program
Virginia Bombín is an expert in corporate finance and executive education, with more than 25 years of teaching experience. She began her career at IE University in 1998, teaching in master’s programs (MBA, Human Resources Management, and Marketing, among others) and serving as the assistant director of executive programs. She was a pioneer in online education in 2002 as faculty director of IE.learning.net, and has since accumulated two decades of experience in virtual teaching. In 2014, she joined the founding team of the FT/IE Corporate Learning Alliance (now Headspring), and in 2016, she assumed the role of deputy director of operations in London. She has designed and delivered customized programs in Spanish and English for companies such as Accenture, PwC, the London Stock Exchange, BBVA, Inditex and Telefónica.
Since 2016, she has led the academic direction of the MiFID II programs and certifications for the Spanish banking sector. She has also directed training programs for the Ministry of Finance of Saudi Arabia, Holcim, and other institutional and corporate clients. She is a professor for the International Certificate in Corporate Finance (ICCF) and the UNWTO Academy’s global MOOC. With dozens of awards for teaching excellence and recognition as the best professor in various master’s programs, she launched her own training project in 2020. She holds an MBA from IE Business School and a BBA from EU University and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in human nutrition and dietetics at UNIR.
