Program
The program will cover the main methods of business valuation, such as net book value, comparable multiples and discounted cash flow analysis. Most importantly, it will delve into how pricing is actually determined in an M&A transaction, identifying the factors that influence value creation and how these are reflected in specific contractual clauses.
The sessions are designed around dynamic learning, using real-world case analyses, open discussion and constant interaction between participants and instructors. The goal is to foster synergies by sharing experience and knowledge in the classroom.
In an environment where law and finance are increasingly converging, this program provides lawyers with the tools needed to confidently interpret and engage with the financial realities of business. Participants will build the fundamental skills for analyzing financial statements, understanding how a company’s value is determined and participating in corporate and market transactions.
Designed for legal professionals who want to become fluent in financial terminology, the program will cover key financial concepts such as the discount rate, the weighted average cost of capital (WACC), working capital and opportunity cost. All of these are fundamental to pricing corporate transactions and determining the value of companies and other financial instruments.
