IE University and Harvard Business Impact sign agreement to advance AI-enhanced learning
IE University and Harvard Business Impact (HBI) have entered into an agreement to co-create and pilot new AI-enabled approaches to teaching and learning using ChatGPT Edu.
This partnership affirms a joint commitment from IE University and Harvard Business Impact to help educators shape AI-enhanced learning experiences that combine academic rigor with technological innovation.
This partnership follows IE University’s strategy to integrate OpenAI tools across its entire academic ecosystem, and reinforces the university’s position among the world's leading academic institutions at the forefront of AI-enhanced learning.
Through this collaboration, IE University and Harvard Business Impact will explore and define innovative case study formats, fostering critical thinking and adaptability while addressing the growing demand for personalized learning. In today’s context of rapid technological change, both institutions also commit to piloting new methodologies and pedagogical approaches and experimenting with ways to integrate AI into teaching practices.
In a first stage, the collaboration will impact the learning journey of 500 IE University students enrolled in the Bachelor in Business Administration, Master in Management, International MBA, and Global Online MBA programs, as they apply AI tools to an initial selection of 20 HBI case studies licensed by IE University.
Following this initial phase, the collaboration will expand to involve students across the University’s six schools: IE Business School, IE School of Science and Technology, IE Law School, IE School of Politics, Economics and Global Affairs, IE School of Architecture and Design, and IE School of Humanities.
"At IE University, we believe that innovation in learning comes from working with exceptional partners. That’s why co-creating together with HBI and OpenAI is the ideal alliance and a true opportunity for our faculty and students", said Teresa Martin-Retortillo, Senior Vice President of Business Operations at IE University.
"At Harvard Business Impact, we’re committed to supporting educators as they explore how AI can enhance their teaching. By partnering with IE University, we aim to help educators maximize their impact, save time, and prepare students for a rapidly changing future", said Vivek Chachra, Vice President and General Manager, Harvard Business Impact – Education.
