IE School of Humanities launches Advanced Management Program in Heritage Management
The Executive Education program marks the beginning of a collaboration with the Heritage Commission of Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Culture.
IE School of Humanities has launched an Advanced Management Program (AMP) in Heritage Management, a new program developed in collaboration with the Heritage Commission of the Ministry of Culture of Saudi Arabia. The AMP in Heritage Management is an Executive Education program designed for experienced professionals from the Heritage Commission to gain a global perspective on cultural heritage, develop management strategies, and strengthen leadership skills in heritage.
This 8-month program combines online sessions with 4 face-to-face periods in Riyadh and Madrid. The Heritage Management Program also includes a personal development plan to boost leadership skills, as well as the development of captsone projects applicable to real scenarios. The program features a faculty of experts in cultural heritage, business management, and global trends, alongside guest speakers from the fields of philanthropy, arts, sustainability, and tourism.
Rubén Montoya, Director of the AMP in Heritage Management, said: “At the heart of this program lies a shared vision—to equip heritage leaders with the tools, knowledge, and strategies needed to address the challenges of heritage management in today’s rapidly evolving world”. Montoya holds a Ph.D. in Roman Archaeology from the University of Leicester and is an Adjunct Professor at IE School of Humanities.
Catalina Tejero, Dean of IE School of Humanities, added: "We are proud of our endeavours in developing programs that unite tradition with innovation. This AMP in Heritage Management will equip participants with the skills and perspectives required to preserve and promote cultural heritage, not only as a source of enrichment for future generations but also as a catalyst for economic development and sustainable growth."
