Visit to the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum During Sustainability Week

As part of Sustainability Week at IE University, students took part in a guided tour at the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum in Madrid under the theme "Art and Sustainability: Social Challenges."

Organized by the Sustainability Team and the IE School of Humanities, the experience invited students to explore iconic artworks—by artists such as Vincent van Gogh and Kurt Schwitters—through the lens of environmental and social responsibility. The tour encouraged participants to reflect on how art can help us understand pressing global issues related to ecology, economy, and society.

Held in collaboration with the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza, the program highlighted the role of culture in fostering critical thinking and public awareness. Through thoughtful dialogue and interpretation, students examined how artistic expression can inspire deeper engagement with the challenges of sustainability in the modern world.
