Jacobo is a Spanish investment banker and artificial intelligence researcher. He is currently an Executive Director and Head of Product & Business Development at the JPMorgan Chase Machine Learning Center of Excellence. He previously covered systematic macro trading strategies and strategic corporate derivatives at JPMorgan, as well as fixed income markets at Morgan Stanley.
Meanwhile, Jacobo conducts research in applied artificial intelligence at University College London, focused on new models of statistical machine learning, including applications as a Research Associate at the UCL Centre for Blockchain Technologies.
Jacobo has received excellence awards and fellowships from the Lucent Technologies Foundation and the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, among others. He has a deep interest in disruptive technologies and financial markets, international economics and public affairs, having served as Country Secretary General and David Rockefeller Fellow of the Trilateral Commission, and member of the National Scholar Council of the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science, advising on legislation.
