Applications open every fall. Gateway Specializations begin in January. Open to students from all IE University schools.

A hybrid between an internship, a capstone project, and a professional accelerator, each Gateway Specialization offers students a hands-on, industry-driven experience. You'll engage in:

TECH IMMERSION SERIES

Tech Venture Bootcamp

Dive into a 6–12-day immersive journey through the startup lifecycle with over 120 IE University students, where you’ll pitch bold ideas, form cross-disciplinary teams, validate real markets, and present your startup to investors and mentors. Past projects have included AI hospital tools, decentralized dating platforms, and machine learning for talent scouting. This hands-on experience accelerates the full startup arc, equipping you to find cofounders, meet your first users, and take your first real step as a founder.
