IE School of Science & Technology and IBM sign agreement to educate on cutting-edge technology
Students at IE School of Science & Technology will benefit from expert-led training, access to cutting-edge IBM technologies, and enriched curricular opportunities.
IE School of Science & Technology and IBM have signed a collaboration agreement to foster innovation in the classroom and expand student exposure to quantum computing, AI tools, and other breakthrough technologies. This agreement sets a flexible framework to explore joint educational activities and curricular enhancements that connect both undergraduate and graduate students with IBM’s state-of-the-art platforms and expert knowledge.
The agreement lays the groundwork for collaboration with IBM to help students explore new technologies and develop career-ready skills. IBM experts will contribute to masterclasses, seminars and co-curricular activities on Quantum computing and technological innovation. These sessions will enrich the academic experience of students across all undergraduate and master's programs at IE School of Science & Technology and will directly benefit students in programs such as the Master in Computer Science & Business Technology and the Master in Business Analytics & Data Science.
"For us the connection with industry is at the core of our education model, we want to prepare future tech leaders able to have greater impact in society. This agreement is an open door to deepen in the impact of new technology applications hand in hand with the industry", said Ikhlaq Sidhu, Dean of IE School of Science and Technology
"The agreement with IBM will allow students and faculty to access specialized training, world-class professionals, and cutting-edge technology from a global leader," added Guillermo de Haro, Vice Dean and Academic Director of Graduate Programs at IE School of Science & Technology. “It formalizes collaborative work we've already been doing in areas such as artificial intelligence with WatsonX and extends our reach into frontier domains like quantum computing."
"At IBM, we firmly believe that collaboration between academia and industry is key to driving digital transformation with real impact. This partnership with IE University will not only bring cutting-edge technologies like artificial intelligence and quantum computing into the classroom, but also equip students with the skills that will be essential in the future job market." de Ana Gobernado, Managing Partner of IBM Consulting for Spain, Portugal, Greece, and Israel.
This partnership reinforces IE School of Science & Technology’s commitment to bridging academia and industry while shaping the next generation of tech innovators. It also expands its growing network of academic collaborations with global technology leaders, including Microsoft, Google, Amazon Web Services, and now IBM.
