IE University’s Start of Programs for the 2024 - 2025 Academic Year
Breaking the boundaries of STEM education IE University’s School of Science and Technology welcomes students from all over the world for the new academic year, connecting the leaders of today with the innovators of tomorrow.
IE School of Science and Technology took a step forward in its mission to become a rigorous, entrepreneurial polytechnic this semester as it added various new programs and grew the student body by a third.
The institution welcomed 1,175 new students for the 2024 - 2025 academic year between their graduate and bachelor programs, accounting for nearly 12% of the total student body at IE University. The new programs introduced this year include the Dual Degree in Bachelor in Business Administration & Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence and the Dual Degree in Economics and Applied Mathematics, among other programs.
The demand for computer science specialists and technology professionals has rapidly increased in recent years and the IE School of Science of Technology has adapted and curated programs to mold the tech leaders of the future.
Along with the introduction of new programs the school has introduced several programs and initiatives to improve student advancement on an entrepreneurial and technological level. The initiatives include the Tech Venture Bootcamp, IE Sustainability Datathon, Rise Europe Alliance, Impact Xcelerator and the Tech Mentoring Program for graduate students. Furthermore this year marks the second year that three Environmental Solutions labs in the Segovia campus will be open to students and researchers.
The addition of these programs, initiatives and the installation of new research facilities has fast tracked the institution into a top ranked spot among tech schools around the world, with expansions and improvements expected to continue throughout the year.
