Learning happens both inside and outside the classroom at IE School of Science and Technology. Our teaching methodology is grounded in experiential learning, which connects technology, business, and real-world challenges. Through competitions, global experiences, and hands-on initiatives, students collaborate with peers from other academic disciplines, industry leaders, and mentors to turn ideas into action—combining scientific thinking and analytical rigor with cutting-edge technologies.
Rigorous academics are complemented by applied learning opportunities that push knowledge into real-world contexts. From building tech ventures and tackling sustainability challenges through technology to exploring global innovation hubs, these initiatives expand perspectives, strengthen practical capabilities, and prepare students to create meaningful impact while leading in complex, technology-driven environments.
Tech Venture Bootcamp (TVB)
A six-day challenge where bold ideas become real prototypes through mentorship and teamwork. The Tech Venture Bootcamp brings together ambitious students who collaborate across disciplines to design, build, and test groundbreaking tech ventures.
Sustainability Datathon
A competition where students team up to tackle real sustainability challenges in collaboration with leading companies. Each edition features a different industry partner who defines their most pressing challenge. By leveraging data, analytical thinking, and technology, participants develop solutions that drive measurable environmental and social impact.
Management Xponential Technology (MXT)
A series of hands-on sessions and activities bringing together both business and technology students to develop an exponential mindset. Through deep-tech exploration, industry collaboration, guest speakers, mentorship, and real-world projects, participants learn how to turn disruptive trends into actionable strategies that drive meaningful impact at scale.
Berkeley Immersion Week
An immersive experience at the heart of Silicon Valley’s tech ecosystem. Students connect with industry leaders, attend cutting-edge sessions at Berkeley, and collaborate on real projects that strengthen their skills and entrepreneurial mindset.
Tech Immersion Week
Experience global tech hubs such as Amsterdam, Dublin, or Dubai, among others, through the Global Immersion Week. This international journey offers the opportunity to visit leading companies, engage with industry professionals, explore diverse cultures, and gain valuable insights into the tech landscape and your future career.
Tech mentorship Program
A mentorship opportunity connecting students with experienced industry professionals from our network of global mentors. Together, they build a relationship based on learning, guidance, and trust-- fostering personal and professional growth. Students gain valuable insights, expand their networks, and strengthen the skills that will help them thrive in the tech world.
