“Access! Access! Access!”

Global Senior Manager, Group Sustainability (Esg) of Philips. IMBA MBD 2016.

I'm a lifelong learner and ardent champion for increasing access to underserved communities, to information and financing across different verticals. I have lived and worked in different continents and cultural contexts, successfully built teams, led strategy/policy formulation, and program implementation in emerging and established markets. I enjoy the performing arts, occasionally participating in the creative process and implementing production. I'm a Board-certified Medical Doctor, certified Project Management Professional [PMP] with an International MBA and Master in Business Analytics & Big Data.

How did IE help you get to where you are today?

IE is an important part of my leadership and learning processes. The IE community, in particular, is an inspiring catalyst for mutually enriching interactions that help us do better, together.

In what way is your work impacting the world?

According to the World Bank and World Health Organization, half the world lacks access to essential health services, 100 million still pushed into extreme poverty because of health expenses. I work with different teams and organizations to improve access to quality healthcare for medically underserved communities across the world. You’ll find me at grassroot community advocacy, in the trenches of entrepreneurial and intrapreneurial processes, at impact investment decision making tables, and sharing my experiences with fellow curious minds. In every context I am in. I have one mission: To use all means available to avert every unnecessary death of underserved population, wherever they may be across the globe. I invite you to sample some of the amazing programs and teams I work with in the features on my LinkedIn profile .

What drove you to work for a cause that believes in the greater good?

It makes sense. For our families, for our communities, for our countries, for the world. It makes sense from socioeconomic development and business points of views. Health and wealth being are critical pillars of any thriving society. That's why I do this.
