About me

Fatemeh Halabisaz is a PhD Candida te in Entrepreneurship and Finance. Prior to joining IE, she acquired experiences in both the public and private sectors. She served as a primary business consultant at an ERP company for several multinational clients based in the US. She also served as an economist for a government institution and specialized in mergers and acquisition cases. Moreover, she was a mentor at a government-backed business incubator, working with administrators and entrepreneurs alike. Beyond her professional experiences, she has also published a variety of written work, including a book chapter and an article for an online news website in the Philippines.

She graduated Magna Cum Laude and was Salutatorian in her batch in BS Economics from the University of the Philippines, and achieved a Distinction from the University of Manchester for her MSc in Management degree, as well as an Outstanding mark for her thesis in her second masters degree from IE Business School in business research.

Her research will contribute to firm growth literature and focuses on growth in new ventures, investigating the factors and boundary conditions surrounding why and how young firms grow.
