The PhD in Management at IE University Doctoral School prepares the next generation of scholars through rigorous research training, close collaboration with internationally recognized faculty and an intellectually vibrant academic community. Designed for those pursuing careers in academia, the program equips you to generate original research, publish in the world's leading journals and make lasting contributions to business, technology and society.
Over four years, full-time and based in Madrid, you will build a rigorous methodological foundation before dedicating yourself entirely to independent research under the close supervision of faculty who are themselves active scholars, many serving as editors and editorial board members at the journals shaping their fields. You will choose from eight research areas, spanning strategy, finance, marketing, entrepreneurship and beyond, and work alongside a genuinely international cohort of future academics and early-career researchers drawn from more than fifteen nationalities.

These awards are granted based on merit, and they can be renewed annually over the course of four years, upon satisfactory academic performance.
