"IE Business School’s focus on innovation and entrepreneurship pushes you to challenge the status quo and to influence this world positively."
As a first-generation immigrant growing up in the United States, I am guided by the dreams that have been instilled in me by the many generations that have come before me. Whether it was working in President Obama’s Administration bringing innovation to the federal government, working at Deloitte Consulting helping clients to solve complex human capital challenges or creating startups and turning ideas into reality, I have always aspired to create positive impact with my work.

Define your experience in the program in one word:
In what ways has the program changed your life professionally and personally?
Our International MBA class consists of 70 nationalities, which is evident by the range of diverse perspectives shared during group projects and classroom discussions. I came to IE Business School with the goal of learning and creating another business that could solve a real-world problem. I’ve met so many incredible people during the program that have not only expanded my horizons but have also inspired me by providing me with many business ideas.
On a personal level, I’ve made life-long friends during my time at IE Business School, in addition to making priceless memories. IE Business School’s focus on innovation and entrepreneurship pushes you to challenge the status quo and to influence this world positively. Coming to IE is one of the best decisions that I’ve ever made.
What is networking like in the program?
Networking during a pandemic can be difficult, yet our International MBA class has made the best out of an unfortunate situation. The class size became smaller due to COVID-19 protocols, but this created an opportunity for us to bond and become closer.
On the weekend, we typically organize outdoor activities such as hiking trips so that we can network with people outside of our area of focus.
What is the biggest myth about your school?
The biggest myth about IE Business School is that it is only Latin-America or Spanish-Speaking country focused. That is absolutely not true. Diversity at IE is not just a buzzword; it’s a reality that cuts across every aspect of your experience at the business school. Our MBA class consists of 70 nationalities and you can easily tell by the diversity of perspectives shared during group projects and classroom discussions.
If someone was considering going to IE Business School, what would you tell them?
Without a doubt, I give IE Business School my highest recommendation, especially for those who want to explore international career opportunities or those who want to become entrepreneurs. I am truly surprised by the quality of IE Business School’s education, especially with regards to the hybrid model they implemented during the pandemic. The professors are knowledgeable, passionate and engaging. I’ve taken almost all of the courses online at least once and I feel just as involved had I been physically in the classroom.
Moreover, the diversity of my International MBA class is the “secret sauce” of IE Business School. Everyone is not only bright but also unique in their own perspectives. Everyone has something new to bring to classroom discussions and I have learned a tremendous amount from people’s diverse set of experiences and cultural backgrounds.
