Beyond Scale
The “Beyond Scale” lecture series aims to link current challenges and questions within and beyond architecture and design, from the macro-scale of infrastructural and territorial dynamics to the micro-scale of the pixel component.
Recognizing that scale is a fundamental concept in architecture and design, this series includes prominent speakers who explore the world from the macroscale of infrastructural and territorial dynamics to the microscale of the pixel component. Each talk also extends the conversation beyond the normal concepts of scale to include other topics, such as energy consumption and the impact of the built environment, the transformation and reuse versus production from scratch of objects, buildings, fashion, software, etc., as well as questions of inclusivity and diversity in the professional and academic environment.
