Professional experience
Guillermo De Haro Rodríguez is an accomplished professional in technology, digital transformation, and business innovation, with a strong background bridging engineering, management, and applied research. He holds a degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Universidad del País Vasco, an MBA from IE University graduating Cum Laude, and a PhD in Applied Economics and Industrial Organization from the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos.
In academia, he is the Vice Dean of IE School of Science and Technology Graduate Programs, Academic Director of the Master in Computer Science and Digital Transformation, and professor with extensive teaching experience.
Guillermo has published articles in leading media outlets as well as prestigious journals such as MIT Sloan Management Review and Harvard Business Review, and is the author of several influential books on digital marketing. His research and teaching focus on how emerging technologies reshape industries and organizations, equipping students with the skills to lead digital innovation initiatives.
He also collaborates with leading organizations to bring innovation into practice. Notably, he worked with Google to design and launch the Activate Program, helping to train thousands of professionals in digital skills during the financial crisis. It boosted the employability of a new generation and inspired young entrepreneurs worldwide to pursue their projects with confidence.
