The SDG that I associate with my work is the SDG number 16, on “Peace, Justice and strong institutions”. As a professor of European law, I try to instill in my students the importance of the values on which the European Union is based. These values refer to 'respect for human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law and respect for human rights, in line with the SDGs. As a European citizen, I am deeply convinced that we should all commit ourselves to these values in order to build sustainable and equitable societies in which every person should be able to grow and live in peace and freedom.
