Sustainable Mindset Chain of Change.

IE Business School, we understand that the quality of life for future generations will depend on how thoroughly we all manage sustainable challenges today. IE Business School is committed to impacting and leaving a footprint in the society at large. IE Business School invests in research and teaching to create the knowledge on the different topics that we believe will help to create meaningful solutions to environmental and social challenges.

Our community aims to develop innovative business models, strategies and products to improve the performance of any enterprise and help people think and behave in ways that foster a more sustainable planet; global citizenship, recycling, climate change, biodiversity, renewable energy and social responsibility.

Here are some of the key drivers to pursue our mission:

To reach our goal of educating best leaders, we support students to cultivate critical and creative thinking skills, engage in authentic interdisciplinary learning activities and develop a value system that emphasizes responsibility to self, others and the planet.

Throughout our programs, students’ capabilities are improved to help them to lead and influence everything they do to build a more sustainable future. These skills will be fundamental to address critical challenges that next generations will face. Students participate in capstone projects, professional internships and international trips that engage them beyond the classroom with sustainable topics.

The Women in Tech Mentoring Program is a leadership online mentoring program to accelerate our emerging International MBA digital leaders’ development. During these sessions the mentor, usually executive digital female leaders, acts as a sounding board, catalyst and role model with the objective to train participants in areas such as career planning & preparation for target companies, professional use of social media outlets.

The Social Impact Lab is a cross functional project in we collaborate with Emzingo, a leadership development company. The goal of the program is two-fold: provide students with hands-on and innovative learning opportunities that give them the chance to apply what they learned at IE Business School and participate in a project aimed at improving the welfare of low-income communities in South Africa.

Our faculty bring global experience across industries into the classroom, training students to address sustainability systematically in their current and future organizations. We offer a wide range of courses related to sustainability in all programs and invest in applied research to create cutting-edge insights. Through research and by working closely with companies, our faculty identify business models or cases aiming to improve real-world challenges.
